Supports Turku AMK students in voluntary blood donation, following Finnish Red Cross guidelines to make it easy for them to save lives in their communities.
Our Vision
Donor for Honor foundation exists to inspire and empower Turku AMK students to participate in voluntary blood donation. Through close alignment with the Finnish Red Cross Blood Service’s public guidelines and processes, our purpose is to make it easier for students to take meaningful action and contribute to lifesaving impact within their communities.

02Building a unified student movement for stronger, nationwide blood donation.
Looking ahead, Donor for Honor aims to expand its model beyond Turku AMK and into educational institutions across Finland. Our long-term vision is to build a unified national student movement—empowering young people throughout the country to participate in voluntary blood donation and strengthen Finland’s lifesaving capacity.
This future includes not only geographical expansion, but also the development of strong nationwide collaborations. Donor for Honor seeks to work closely with universities, vocational schools, student unions, and national health organizations to create a coordinated, impactful, and sustainable blood donation culture across Finland.
03Recognizing donors and inspiring a culture of lifelong generosity.
Donor for Honor aims to inspire lifelong donor habits, positioning itself as the first step in a continuous journey of giving. By encouraging students to carry their donation values into adulthood, D4H seeks to foster a culture where blood donation becomes a lasting part of their lives and personal identity.
To strengthen motivation, D4H emphasizes recognition and celebration. Through certificates, badges, social media features, and community events, donors are acknowledged for their contributions and encouraged to become role models within their communities. This approach nurtures pride, consistency, and long-term engagement.

At Donor for Honor, our mission is to Educate, Motivate, and Connect. We strive to empower Turku AMK students with clear, accurate, and engaging information about blood donation, debunking myths and breaking down barriers that may prevent participation. Through our digital platforms, we provide students with the tools they need to understand the importance of donating blood and the real, lifesaving impact it has on their communities.
But knowledge alone is not enough. We actively motivate students to take meaningful action, making it simple and seamless to participate in blood donation through official channels with the Finnish Red Cross. Our goal is to transform blood donation from a sporadic act into a natural, ongoing part of student life—an expression of civic responsibility, solidarity, and care for others.
Our Commitment
